I, Sherra, started my photography journey in high school. Taking pictures just seemed natural for me. It wasn’t about art, it was about memories. I wanted to save the emotions I felt at any one particular moment in a fashion that I could revisit them later. I spent time learning in several photography studios and experimenting on my own. I received my photography certification for studio photography in 1998, but studio wasn’t really my passion. So I continued learning about natural light photography. And, started my own business, PSImages. Several of my early clients will remember my company. I photographed several weddings, first birthdays and families while focusing on natural lighting and sharpening my skills. Then I met David…
He is a self-taught photographer, or wife-taught photographer as I like to call him. When we married in 2004, I learned that being the wife of an aviator meant we would move around the country based on our station. So, we moved. We moved a lot! And it was our move to Ogden, Ut that spurred a name change in my business. It was no longer just me photographing. It was now a two-shooter team and David needed to be included. So PSImages was re-invented as Reflections Gallery. Our focus was the same, but our look and feel was different, more professional and less hobby. And, Reflections Gallery served us well adding more than 20 weddings, 100 families and numerous special events to our portfolio. We were on a roll and working it! Then life happened…baby two…baby three…baby four…a few job changes, etc. and photography became a back-burner again. We used the off time to learn new techniques, complete a few milestones (I got my college degree!!) and get back to the basics of photography. Keeping our skills sharp and learning new techniques with a few sessions here and there was the best we could muster. We took this time to add graphic design, logo conception and photography albums to our knowledge-base. BUT, and here is the best part, We are back! We are settled and have another new name & new look. And, this one is here to stay! We are…drum roll please… Sherra Ogden Photography. Sherra Ogden Photography is a husband and wife, Houston based Photography team. We are skilled and knowledgeable on current photography trends. We have the digital experience to create that perfect photo album or that new business logo that fill your dreams.
