A major milestone for the future of accessible travel.

The Global Accessible Travel Alliance (GATA) was officially launched at the World Travel & Tourism Council 2026 Global Summit in Malta, bringing together leading organizations to advance accessibility across the global travel sector.

GATA is the first cross-sector alliance created to accelerate progress in accessible travel through greater collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action.

The alliance brings together:
• World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC)
• Global Business Travel Association - GBTA
• Global Sustainable Tourism Council - GSTC
• World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (WSHA)
• AIPC | International Association of Convention Centres
• Accessible Travel Solutions (ATS)

Accessibility is not the responsibility of one organization or one part of the travel experience. It requires collaboration across the entire travel sector, from hospitality and transportation to destinations, events, and tourism services.

By uniting leaders from across these sectors, GATA creates an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, exchange knowledge, and accelerate progress toward more accessible travel.

We are honored to be a founding member of GATA and look forward to working alongside our fellow founding members to help shape a future in which accessibility is seamlessly integrated into mainstream travel.

The journey toward more accessible travel continues, and collaboration will be essential to turning this shared vision into meaningful progress.

John has arrived in Malta ahead of the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit, and we’re getting closer to something we’ve been looking forward to sharing.

🌟 Celebrating a special moment at Accessible Travel Solutions 🌟

Last week, our CEO, John Sage, was honored in New York with the 2025 Travel Unity Inclusion Champion Award. This recognition was determined by a public vote, and we are incredibly proud of the impact he continues to make in accessible travel.
