We’re still at it and the fishing is still good!
Pulled 7 last night before the waves got to one of the guests pretty bad and we pulled lines way early.
This morning we went 19 for 25/26 by 9:45am topped off with a massive steelhead. Awesome fish 100%
If you’re looking for a charter, I do have a couple of dates left if you’re interested. We’re almost done up here for the year but fishing is still really good. Get ahold of me.

Food for thought on reel calibration. For me, it’s a no brainer. When targeting walleye I LOVE using the precision trolling app paired with my favorite baits for KNOWING exactly where my lures are running in the water column! Aim small, miss small sort of thing.
Instead of running it right “in their face” I’ll try to target my bait a foot or so above them. Maybe it’s all personal preference, but it seems to get them pretty fired up. Finding a lead length that’s working well, and being able to replicate that pattern with other set ups, can turn a good day into an incredible day real quick.
Do you calibrate your combos? Have you noticed an increase in your catch? What’s your favorite fall walleye baits for Lake Erie? I’d have to say my staples for Lake Erie (in the fall) are bandits and reapers. My favorite colors are fruit dots, blue chrome, and generally a mix of a few greens and whites as well.

I don’t know who’s seen what in the last like 36ish hours, or whatever it’s been, but things have gotten beyond NUCKIN FUTS lately.
I want to clear some MORE rumors up. If you see my name (Kurt VanKoevering) being drug through the mud, or my business’ name, just know this, the source of all of this crap flying around isn’t at all what he’s cracked up to be.
I’ll leave it at that. I don’t want to relive the last 36 hours. At all.
Trust me, he didn’t quit but he is right, he won’t ever work for me again.
He won’t be back on my boat again.

He’s also got that Snapchat story all wrong too….
It’s 3 DUI’s and I haven’t had a F’KING DROP since May 10, 2020. He’s more than a tad butthurt I’m guessing.

12 for 18 today. AWESOME TIME on the lake! Had an amazing crew and sooo much fun! Topped off the catch with an amazing brown trout. 26” long and 16.5” girth. Absolutely STUNNING fish!
A true trophy. Just beautiful!!!
