Just HAD TO sneak in one more trip with my buddies before pulling the salmon gear off. We went 14 for 16 this morning and had a riot!
The salmon gear is officially off the boat for 2026 💔💔💔
Lots of available dates for 2027 but don’t delay booking.

Tell me what fishing does for you. I’d really like to know.
For me, it’s peace. A peace that I don’t find anywhere else on land. My mind feels at ease (unless combat fishing lol). I feel like I’m truly where I belong and where I’m at my happy place. It takes me away from all the BS that is associated with being on land. It’s that freeing feeling and where I watch the sun come up over the water and feel connected to God. There’s no other place I’d rather be than on the water. Catching fish is just a really nice added bonus.
How about you? Whatcha got? Add a pic of your “happy place”. I wanna see some cool stuff today!

Well…. That’s a wrap for salmon 💔

We ended the season with an amazing trip filled with lots of laughs and plenty of action with a good box of fish. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer morning out on Lake Michigan! That cool crisp morning was offset by the comfort of the diesel heater in the enclosed cab of the Hewes. Balmy 80°ish in there. Super warm ride out! We started hooking fish right outta the gate this morning and had a couple of doubles this morning too. Ended the trip going 11 for roughly high teens bites. Had some get off the line and a break off (RIP Fireball spoon🫡). What an AMAZING morning on the pond with an even better crew of guys. Can’t wait for 2027s trip. Lots of fun and laughs!

The final scheduled salmon trip of the year leaves the dock this morning. It’s so sad. What happened to the year?!?! It’s gone by SO FAST! My heart is heavy this morning while I’m looking at gear that I won’t see for another 9 months after today. No more singing drags, popping down riggers, dipsy divers getting just jacked up by an angry king, planer boards ripping back with the promise of a battle on the other end of the line. Man o man 💔💔💔
My heart is heavy. It’s a real bummer.

I am also, on the flip side, filled with gratitude for such an absolutely amazing season!!! We had a very successful salmon season and had more fun than ever with you all! The new boat is performing flawlessly and exceeds expectations every time!

MY CUSTOMERS, both new and repeat folks alike, MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Second trip tonight was both a RIOT and also very frustrating. We landed 8 of the 4,327 bites and hook ups we had lol. What a kick in the ol’ sackarooni!
We’d get them on, fight em, POP and gone! Back of the boat, fish spazzes, gone, drivebys, gone. Soooooooo many lost fish 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
BUT!!! In Good Karma Charter fashion we made lemonade outta lemons and had a FANTASTIC time with an amazing crew!!! Already looking forward to 2027 with these guys! Cannot wait to have them back!
