Where to go in Tanzania ๐น๐ฟ
Four times the size of the United Kingdom, Tanzania is a country of enormous diversity, and roughly 1 million sq km of its land mass is dedicated to national parks and game reserves. Most people visit in pursuit of the โBig Fiveโ (safari means journey in Kiswahili), and whilst the journey may be rough on the parksโ bumpy and slippery roads, there is no denying that there is a wide range of locations in which to see an array of game. With the exception of the Ngorongoro Crater, which gets rather overrun with pop-up minibuses, the great game areas of Tanzania are less crowded than those in, say, Kenya or South Africa. The town of Arusha is the safari capital of East Africa, from where safaris depart all year round to visit the popular northern circuit parks: the vast plains of the Serengeti where the annual wildebeest migration is staged, the birthplace of man at the Olduvai Gorge, the natural beauty of Lake Manyara and the animal-stuffed Ngorongoro Crater....To continue on next post
