The Pledge is the epitome of a true love story! I think each of us have had that one opportunity to meet that one person that melts your heart the first time you see them. If you were smart, you held onto them and made them your "life mate," like Tom did with Tish. Or if you were like me, you let the most beautiful person you have ever met slip through your hands! This book, very graphically, allowed me to experience the love that Tom felt for Tish as if this was my own personal story. The details given by Ms Moye' to describe the different settings and scenes were so explicit, I felt like I was there. The ending was so emotional that it brought tears to my eyes. (and yes, real men do cry!!) Thank you, Ms Moye', for this beautifully written love story and I hope the movie will be coming soon.
