I’m still in disbelief that I’m writing this. I got word yesterday that my dear friend, mentor teacher, and someone who was like a second mother to me, Teddye, passed away. My heart is just broken. 💔
When I first started teaching, we were living in North Carolina, far away from our families. My work family became our second family, and Teddye became such an important part of mine. She guided me, encouraged me, believed in me, and taught me so much. I wouldn’t be the teacher I am today without her.
Anyone who knew Teddye was lucky, and every child who had her as their teacher was truly blessed. She was an amazing woman who touched so many lives, and her impact will live on through all of us who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
I just can’t believe she’s gone. The world truly lost an incredible woman, but heaven gained an angel. 🕊️
My heart breaks for her family, and I hope they find comfort in knowing just how deeply loved she was.
Thank you, Teddye, for believing in me, guiding me, loving me like family, and helping me become the teacher I am today. I will forever be grateful for you. ❤️
Rest peacefully, Teddye. You will be missed more than words can say. 🤍🕊️
Life is so incredibly precious, and none of us are promised tomorrow. Hug your people a little tighter, make the memories, take the trip, laugh a little louder, and spend your time doing what makes your heart happy with the people you love. ❤️ You never know how much time you have, so make sure you’re truly living it.
