❤️💛Happy Gryffindor Pride Day!💛❤️

On March 22, we celebrate the magnificent house of Gryffindor. Unlike Slytherin who has always discriminated against Muggles, house of Gryffindor valued courage, grit, and determination and it didn’t matter to them who possessed these qualities. The name Gryffindor comes from the word ‘Gryffin’ or ‘Griffin,’ which means “a half lion.” This is also the symbol of the house. The second part of the name has a French origin, ‘D’or’ in French means “made of gold,” hence the house has the color gold.

Some of the noteworthy people in Gryffindor are Sir Cadogen from the Middle Ages, Albus Dumbledore, James Potter, Lily Evans, and Harry Potter.

🖤💚Today is Slytherin Pride Day!💚🖤

Slytherin Pride say, on March 21, is
a day to enjoy one of the most captivating stories of our generation. Slytherin is one of four houses in the fictional Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry portrayed in the “Harry Potter” books. Slytherin Pride Day celebrates the house and its — sometimes eccentric — values.

One thing is for sure, Slytherin students kept things interesting. From Snape to Voldemort, Slytherin was home to several key characters without whom the story wouldn’t be the same.

🚢 𝐔𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬: 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫🚢

The entertainment in this ship is top notch. After our fun at The Music Hall, we went to the Aqua-theater to see what may possibly be the most incredible show I’ve ever watched. I can only imagine what my face looked like whe. I was in utter amazement. This show is a must -see!

We concluded the night by going to the Schooner Bar for drinks and incredible piano playing. My John Mayer request was performed in an on-the-spot medley of fantastic tunes.

I don’t even think 2 weeks would be enough time to enjoy all the Utopia of the Seas had to offer! I highly recommend this ship for a fun-filled weekend!

💛🖤Happy Hufflepuff Pride Day, which is celebrated on March 20 every year! 🖤💛

This special day celebrates the Hufflepuff house from the very popular “Harry Potter” book and movie series. The house was well-known for its gold and black badger insignia, as well as its rooms with yellow hanging walls and fat armchairs. There were four main houses in the “Harry Potter” series — Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw.

Hufflepuff Pride Day celebrates the house and its members as they were known for their kindness, hard work, and unquestionable loyalty. Distinguished members of the house include Nymphadora Tonks and Cedric Diggory.

“Harry Potter” fans all over the world show their love and the pride they have for the Hufflepuff by wearing the house colors and celebrating with family and friends to show just how much they love the wizarding world.

🚢 𝐔𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐚: 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞🚢

I attended the Coco Cay Sail Away party with my friend and colleague, Erin.

I then returned to the room to find a cute towel animal and to relax for a bit before needing to get ready for dinner.

Since it was our last night, we wanted to cram as much fun in as possible. After I finished my yummy turkey dinner, we headed to the Music Hall for some Classic Rock Trivia. I was surprised by how many songs/artists I knew (thanks, Dad!)

After trivia was over, live karaoke began. It was so cool seeing a live band perform with the guests. Erin was a rockstar and did amazingly well! I was very happy to be the videographer/photographer for this event and not personally participate.

After karaoke ended, we headed to the other side of the ship for more nighttime fun! Follow along for the rest of my experience on board Royal Caribbean’s Utopia od the Seas!

🏝️𝐔𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬: 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐰𝐨🏝️

I spent some time in South Beach before exploring Perfect Day at Coco Cay some more. There are maps all around, in addition to RCCL crew to help you navigate the island. My son, Lucas, asked for pictures of Thrill Waterpark.
I then went over to the Oasis Lagoon, which is the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean.

I then began making my way to Chill Island, an area with so many ways to sit back and relax. I had a delicious lunch of bbq chicken and pork carnitas tacos at Chill Grill before meeting up with some friends at the Wacky Seagull for another Coco Loco.

I shopped at the Straw Market before heading back to the ship for our final night’s festivities.

Perfect Day at Coco Cay lives up to its name! It truly is the perfect island destination, whether you want to relax or be adventurous.

It’s Perfect Day at Coco Cay Day! This gem is Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas, designed for both thrill-seekers and relaxation lovers. T

I walked around solo for a bit to explore the different areas Coco Cay has to offer guests. My boys are going to LOVE Thrill Waterpark when we visit together.

I decided to wander around for a little bit by foot instead of taking the tram (I had to get my much needed steps in!). I found a beautiful mangrove pathway that lead me to the South Beach area of the island.

There was a lot to do, such as beach volleyball and other fun games. I opted to grab a lounge chair and walk up to Coconut Willie’s to get the signature cocktail, Coco Loco, to enjoy by the beautiful water.

✨𝐔𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬: 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐰𝐨, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐰𝐨✨

I decided to explore Nassau, Bahamas for a little bit. Did you know that there is a pirate museum a quick and easy walk from the port? This is a great option if you do not want to commit to a longer excursion while on the island.

I also visited the straw market before heading back to the ship for lunch. I enjoyed El Loco Fresh, a quick service, TexMex restaurant with burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and build your own taco bar. It was delicious!

I walked around the ship some more to see some of the fun offerings including a playground, mini-golf course and a splash pad with slides for little ones. I couldn’t resist getting a free soft-serve ice cream cone, could you?!
