🇲🇽 Cozumel, Mexico – Our Final Port Day Aboard the Norwegian Encore 🇲🇽

Today we wrapped up our last port day in Cozumel the best way possible. Instead of the typical tourist spots, we went off the beaten path and met up with friends we made during our trip to Ireland who winter here. 🌎

One of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet along the way. You make friends on land… and sometimes get to reconnect while at sea in a completely different destination. That’s what makes travel so special.

They showed us local watering holes and hidden gems you’d never find on your own. Huge thank you to Kim and Richard for an unforgettable day!

Today was such a fun and exciting day in Costa Maya, Mexico! 🇲🇽

We explored the incredible Chacchoben Mayan Ruins, walking through ancient history and learning about the fascinating Mayan civilization. Standing among those ruins really puts things into perspective — it’s amazing to think about how much history is right there in the jungle.

After our tour, we enjoyed a traditional lunch at a local Mayan home. 🏡 The food was authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious — and getting to experience the culture firsthand made it even more special.

And the best part? We got to make our own tortillas! 🌽 That was SO much fun — and it definitely gave me a new appreciation for homemade tortillas.

It was the perfect mix of adventure, education, culture, and hands-on experiences. Days like this are what make cruising so much more than just a vacation.

Such a fun day in Roatan, Honduras 🌴🦥🐒🦜🦎

We saw sloths, monkeys, macaws, and iguanas — and had LOTS of laughs along the way! Days like this are why I love cruising… every port brings a totally different adventure.

Roatan definitely delivered the memories today 💛

The adventure didn’t stop when we stepped off the Carnival Mardi Gras on Saturday! 🚢

Instead… we kept the vacation rolling.

We rented a car in Port Canaveral and road-tripped down to Miami where we boarded the Norwegian Encore — a brand-new ship for us to explore!

Sunday was a relaxing sea day spent wandering the ship, checking out all the venues, and soaking in that “first day on a new cruise” excitement.

Then yesterday we arrived at Harvest Caye, Norwegian’s private island 🌴
Perfect sunshine, beautiful water, and exactly what a cruise day should be — pool, beach, and island exploring.

Two ships, multiple ports, and the adventure keeps going!

Today we experienced Celebration Key on Grand Bahama — Carnival’s newest private island — and WOW… it truly exceeded expectations! 🌴☀️

From the moment we stepped off the ship, it was clear this destination was designed for everyone.

✨ Two separate pools — one 13+ and one for all ages
✨ Beautiful beach areas with plenty of space to relax
✨ Delicious food options throughout the island
✨ Fun for families AND relaxing spaces for adults

I absolutely loved that they created two pool experiences — families can enjoy the all-ages pool together, while teens and adults 13+ have their own dedicated space. It really helps balance the fun and relaxation for different travel styles.

Whether you’re looking to lounge by the water with a tropical drink in hand 🍹 or keep the kids busy with activities, Celebration Key truly delivers.

Adventure + Culture + Relaxation = The Perfect Cruise Stop 🇲🇽✨

Yesterday in Cozumel, Mexico, we had the BEST day!

We rode ATVs through the jungle and visited the beautiful Chempita Cenote 💦🌿 — such a unique experience and absolutely stunning.

We also learned how tequila is made (which was super interesting!) and of course… we had to do a few tastings 😉🥃

To top it all off, we enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant and soaked in the authentic flavors of Mexico.

And today? Total relaxation mode back on the ship 🚢💙 Ocean views, amazing food, and no schedule to follow.

This is why I love cruising — you get adventure, culture, and relaxation all in one trip.
