If you need a good mechanic in West Jefferson, NC, I **highly** recommend JD's Auto Care! They saved the Volvo this week when it developed a catastrophic coolant leak, and had us in the shop within the hour, and back on the road the next day.

Not only that, but they were super-friendly and took great care of the car, right down to putting covers over the seat and a disposable mat on the floorboard while they were working on it.

11/10 stars, would definitely recommend!

If you HATE outdoor fun in the mountains, then don’t visit Ashe County Park in West Jefferson, NC!

Located on the side of Phoenix Mountain, it has everything you’ll dislike - walking, biking and hiking trails, playgrounds, covered picnic sites, basketball, tennis and PICKLEBALL courts, a baseball field, a SKATE PARK, fish ponds, a challenging disc golf course, a Mountain Farm Life museum, and of course, stunning views of Mt Jefferson and the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains.
Best of all? Ashe County Park is only a MILE from Phoenix Cabin!

I love fall at the cabin!!
Between the crisp air, the colors, and looking at the stars from the hot tub, it’s definitely my happy place.
And the gas fireplace makes the great room a super-cozy place to chill out, play board games, and make a perfect winter supper with friends and family.
