At approximately 1310 hours on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 (C Shift) JFR was dispatched to a Vehicle on Fire with a confirmed entrapment. This video is from the POV of E1’s Driver.
R2 arrived on scene first, assumed Rescue priority, provided a size up and passed command to the incoming 603 unit. E1 arrived on scene just behind R2, and assumed Fire Attack using R2’s bumper line.
Thanks to the efforts of first arriving Jenks Public Schools Police Department Officers, Jenks Police Department, and by-standers, the Victim was removed from the vehicle prior to our arrival. These individual’s utilized multiple Fire Extinguishers to provide a barrier between the Victim, and the Fire located in the Engine compartment.
This incident displayed phenomenal cohesion between the Fire Department, Police Departments, and EMSA OKLAHOMA. Not only was the cohesion great between all these different entities, C Shift also had 3 individuals working overtime from B Shift. Communication was kept to a minimum, along with Radio Traffic; yet every member operated together almost flawlessly. It’s very rare that we aren’t critical of ourselves on any given incident, however during our de-brief it was clear that our operational effectiveness exceeded previous standards.
