On October 28, we joined the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development to celebrate our incredible Nolichucky River rafting community through Raise Your Paddle! After Hurricane Helene devastated the landscape in late 2024, our river, surrounding communities, and outdoor recreation industry faced tremendous challenges.

This celebration honored the resilience, dedication, and determination of the rafters and local businesses who continue to keep the spirit of the Nolichucky alive. We are proud to stand alongside those who are rebuilding, restoring, and sharing the beauty of Northeast Tennessee with the world.

Here’s to our river, our people, and a future filled with adventure!

🪶 Oct.17 is DEERY DAY 🪶 Learn the story of Blountville at Old Deery Inn followed by an artisan fair, food trucks and fireworks.

The Old Deery Inn will be open this Saturday, October 17, from 1 PM until 5 PM for Deery Days. There will be free tours and a wonderful art exhibit with paintings and prints for sale. If the weather cooperates, there will be plein air painting behind the Inn with artists actually painting the lovely buildings in the Quarters. The arts and crafts that are usually in downtown Blountville will be located in the football field behind the Blountville library. The event there from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM will include food trucks, entertainment, and fireworks. Hope to see you in Blountville this Saturday!
