Oh my goodness, Vikash! We are so moved you took your precious vacation time to make this very thoughtful and glowing post of your experience with us. This is Sabrina, I took your reservation. We are so glad we could work out a time for just your family. Jason could not stop talking about how much fun he had with all of you and how genuinely kind you all were. I called Jason right away to read this to him. We are so overwhelmed by all your kind words. Jason and Gabriel truly lead with their hearts. It makes me so proud when people recognize this about them! You made not only our day, you filled us with joy for many days to come. Mahalo!!!! Jason and Gabriel hope to see you again! Please be aware, "If the water is brown, do something in town". 80% of our Tiger shark sightings are on the southern part of Maui. They love to hunt in brown water. Please keep you and your family safe if you visit our island by avoiding that area when you see those conditions. Although we have a permit for Makena Landing too, we launch from Olowalu for that very reason. Aloha!! Wishing you blessings and a safe visit! 😊♥️😊

Hawaiʻi is one of the few places in the world in the direct path of a total lunar eclipse in the early hours of Tuesday, March 3. Where should you go to see it?

"Any place outside, out from under a roof, and you have to be somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, like us here in Hawaiʻi, because the path of totality goes over the Pacific, and the only other places in the world that will see it are like the West Coast of the U.S., just barely, and maybe Guam. And that's about it," said Roy Gal from the University of Hawaiʻi Institute for Astronomy.

The last total lunar eclipse visible from Hawaiʻi was on Nov. 8, 2022. Residents will have to wait until Dec. 31, 2028, for the next one — but Hawaiʻi will not be quite as well placed.

The institute and Bishop Museum will host a free eclipse viewing party at the museum starting at 11 p.m. on March 2.

Another beautiful day at Gabriel's Ohana. All set for Whale Watch by Kayak and Clear Kayak and Snorkeling Tours. All snorkeling tours have no time limit so you can explore Olowalu Reef as long as you like! We are filling up fast, so book your seats as soon as possible!

Aloha dearest ohana, we will be closed starting tomorrow through October 14th. I am just around the corner from those sweet, sweet benefits from AARP 😂.It is my 50th birthday and Gabriel will be turning 22, 3 days later! We will be spending some time in Japan (our happy place). Thankfully, this is our slowest time of the year, so hopefully I won't be absent for your visit! I would be sad if I missed out on spending time with any of you. You are in my heart and thoughts as I travel.
