Someone asked how come people don't talk about Native Americans during thanksgiving that much anymore. The real story of Thanksgiving is much deeper, richer, and more nuanced. The Native Americans in attendance,the Wampanoag, played a lead role in this historic encounter, and they had been essential to the survival of the colonists during the newcomers’ first year. The pilgrims were basically Thanking the Native Americans with a celebration for their survival.

We are suppose to give Thanks not just with and for our family but our neighbors, enemy and new friends.
