The Makapu'u Lighthouse has been guiding ships safely around Oahu's southeastern tip since 1909. Back then, these waters were considered some of the most dangerous in the Pacific. Today, view the lighthouse from one of the best hikes on the island! Panoramic views, whale sightings in winter, and a lighthouse that's been holding it down for over 100 years.
