I am working on a case that has taken me to the state of Arkansas. I came across a website where people have submitted their family group sheets and their pedigree charts to the Arkansas Genealogical Society. There is an index by year that is searchable. If you are stuck on someone you might try looking for them here.

If you are looking for someone in Pulaski County, Missouri, someone is doing a really good job of posting the obituaries from this county in a blog. You will need to click on the arrow to the left of the month/year, then it will open the obituaries that were posted that month. If you go further down you will see Labels with the years underneath. If you know when the person died, just click on the year to see what they have posted from that year.

For those of you with ancestors in Greene County, Missouri, their archives has been working on an index of property buyers and sellers for 1833-1877. This could give you confirmation of your ancestors location during this timeframe.

We would take the real estates indexes, which were mostly on microfilm, and arrange them into an everyname alphabetical listing. It seemed so simple.
