Tours by Tam and Nikos Tam Omtvedt works with Nikos and Almopia-Kirkenidis NR Travel to help Americans explore Greece, Croatia, and the Balkans with unforgettable tours.

Tam Omtvedt started doing these tours years ago as a way to take a large group of family, friends, and friends of friends to Greece. Nikos Kirkenidis and his family have been lifelong family friends and have run a tour business for 40+ years. Tam takes care of finding the people, promoting the tour, communications, and Nikos takes care of all logistics for the tours - the itinerary, hotel, museum

tickets, ferries, tour guides, etc. Basically, everything is taken care of from the moment you arrive until the time you fly back to the U.S.

Nikos and I are excited to be partnering with Third City Christian Church (Grand Island, NE) on a custom Footsteps of Paul Tour, October 5-17, 2026. Such an amazing museum. Stone carvings in the museum show the face of King Phillip, which I have no doubt is a strong likeness of the man. The museum blew it up and have it hanging on the wall.

Our buffet at the hotel in Opatija, Croatia. Yes, that is a full round of really good Parmesan cheese. I’ve finally shed the pounds I added on this trip, but I miss not having to cook for 2 weeks. 😄 we stayed at some really great hotels.

Day 1 and 2 in Vienna. Exhausted the first day. Jet lag is real. But what a beautiful city! What strikes me is the amazing architecture and how clean the city is. We strolled through the city center last night, had a great meal, went through Saint Peter and Saint Stefanos churches (wow, just wow, how did they build this?!). This morning a walk through the marketplace with all the selections of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, olives, meat, fish, leather, chocolates, you name it. Felt similar to the Greek markets. I have a fantastic, fun group of people with me, 39 total plus our wonderful leaders, Nikos Rafail Kirkenidis and Demetrius (Jim) our second driver. This is the 6th tour with Nikos, everyone loves him, he is kind, creates a great itinerary, and takes good care of us. Jim doesn’t speak much English, but I love him already. . On to Budapest in a few days and then
