Hey folks we have a couple dates left for this year if anyone wants to go on an unforgettable adventure, get some blisters on there feet and see a ton of bear! Back and forth to camp and catchin bears everywhere in between! Man alive I don’t think I caught this many color phase bear in a row in long time. Fresh litter of Pups hit the ground on Mother’s Day so we’re excited about that. All healthy! 3rd time cross. Gonna be game gitrs

Got all the older dogs pulled off quickly and let the young dogs git it on two at a time. Old female there with them that wont grab a bear but she’ll face bark the heck out of em. HELLFIRE YOUNG DOGS!

Been catching a pile of bears folks! Just another color phase here. This bear ran hard in the heat. Love it!

I already posted this one but I found a different clip here so figured I’d throw it up again. I gotta say something here that I think I should have said the first time I posted this. Now I have heard some laika guys and others say “a hound lacks the ability to jump strait back from its front feet”if you notice here these dogs indeed can do that and they are quick as a horse fly! They do get caught once in a while no doubt. Mostly when they are tired or in a cave hole or bad blow down timber. These dogs work a bear like this no matter the situation very tight and aggressive. Honestly they can be a little too pushy when they have a bear stopped but it usually results in the bear going up a tree except when it’s a smaller bear,if he don’t get up a tree before they catch him on the ground he will never make it up a tree. I spent a lot of years, a lot of time and went through a lot of pups looking for the right dogs to start making crosses with. I know some guys are going to ask so I’ll answer some questions now. These are just some crossed up walker dogs with a shot of running walker in them. No I have never bought a finished dog. I start every pup from scratch and have been a harsh critic from the beginning. That being said, I have learned a lot from some good dog men over the years and I’ll learn until I’m dead! I talked some more about how we handle rank bears in the comments on that video of the young dogs holding a bear in a hole. First color I phase of the season. And a dandy too! Ended up treeing this bear twice. He came out right on top of the dogs as I was trying to leave. He hit the ground and went 50ft and up another big red for with two dogs hanging for about 10ft up the tree before they let go. Of course I had my hand on the pistol and not the Camara like usual when the good stuff happens.
