🚢 FIRST LOOK: Hero of the Seas is officially FLOATING!

Royal Caribbean’s newest Icon Class ship, Hero of the Seas, has floated for the very first time at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland a major construction milestone ahead of its August 2027 debut in Miami!

And getting this massive ship afloat was no small task. The dry dock was filled with more than 90 MILLION gallons of water overnight before Hero of the Seas was moved to the outfitting pier, where work will continue over the next year.

Once complete, Hero will feature eight neighborhoods, nine pools and 28 dining spots, including the New Orleans Parrish Supper Club. Guests can also experience Crown’s Edge 154 feet above the ocean, the new Coconut Cove pool and the three-deck Ultimate Family Treehouse.

Hero of the Seas will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Miami, with every sailing visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay.

🚢 NEW: Disney Cruise Line is sailing to Bermuda from Florida in 2028!
Disney Cruise Line is adding a special 8-night Disney Fantasy sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Bermuda, departing March 18, 2028. The cruise will sail roundtrip from Port Everglades and feature an overnight visit to King’s Wharf, Bermuda.
But Bermuda isn’t the only highlight! The itinerary also visits BOTH of Disney Cruise Line’s private destinations in The Bahamas Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. That means one sailing combines Bermuda with two Disney island destinations! 🏝️✨
The sailing will be part of the Disney Fantasy’s first season sailing from Fort Lauderdale, with the ship scheduled to homeport there from December 2027 through April 2028.
