Crossing the English Channel and landing in heavy winds. Great job from the pilots!
The arrival in Stanstead was chaotic though. Trains not operating, long queues for buses. I ended up taking an Uber to Liverpool Street station with four random strangers. Best taxi ride. People from different ages and countries (England, US, Bahrain and Germany) with interesting stories to share.

Travelling in the Canary Islands again. This time Gran Canaria. Wild mixture of places and people. Spent some time in Las Palmas, at the city beaches. In the west of the island in a remote surf camp. Sailing on the Atlantic Ocean. Soaking in the sun and enjoying the sandy beaches in the South.

The city of Baltimore has been somewhat in the spotlight in the last days. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. There certainly are some troubled people around, but it’s a lovely city with friendly people, lots of seafood places, the Aquarium, boat tours, baseball games at the Oriole Park, kayaking,...go check it out! 😎⛵️⚾️

Apparently every Chinese has to travel here once. Dr Sun is also known as Sun Zhongshan. He wanted to be buried in Nanjing, although he probably did not have the big effort in mind that was undertaken here. I counted at least 3 gates on the steep road up to his mausoleum.

The transfer in Dubai went smoothly and thanks to a once again fantastic crew from I could recover from my flu a bit on a 3 seater.
Still going slowly, but went out for two hours today into the cold to get a glimpse of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Happy New Year! 🎉🍾

A new adventure is coming up. Asia is calling, this time China 🇨🇳! My first visit takes me to Beijing. And another first: about to board the A380. Well, kinda. Just an hour delay. Keep your fingers crossed that I get my connecting flight in Dubai! 🎎🛫
