**BURN BAN LIFTED 3/17/25**

Update 3/13/25 12:30 PM COUNTY-WIDE BURN BAN ISSUED

Due to current dry conditions, exceptionally low relative humidity, forecasted high winds, and a Very High Fire Danger, Sevier County and the Cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Town of Pittman Center, and Sevierville have issued a BURN BAN until further notice.

Any outdoor burning is prohibited with this ban, which includes burning in barrels, outdoor wood-burning fire pits, and charcoal grills. Gas grills and gas fire pits are still permitted. This ban on open burning will be in effect until further notice.

SEVIER COUNTY BRUSHFIRE UPDATE (25-3-4 at 10:00 PM) - MULTIPLE BRUSHFIRES ACROSS SEVIER COUNTY
Sevier County is currently dealing with multiple brushfires throughout the county as winds continue to increase in the mountains and foothills. The Sevier County Wildland Taskforce has been activated and is responding. The following brushfires have been reported to the Emergency Operations Center:
- Bluff Mountain at Tower Road. 5-7 homes have been evacuated.
- East Union Valley Road - Crews have contained.
- Highway 321 Pittman Center
- Powdermill Road - Blown transformer caused small fire in woods

The Sevier County Wildland Taskforce has been activated and are responding to each call. Sevier County Fire & Rescue Administrative personnel along with administrative personnel from county and city departments are coordinating response.
