✈️ Our local airport, McGhee Tyson (TYS), has been making headlines lately because of long TSA security lines. I’m happy to report that our experience this morning was the exact opposite!

We departed from TYS around 11:30 a.m., and as you can see from the photo, the airport was moving right along. There was no one ahead of us at the Delta counter, and we made it through security in about 10 minutes.

We do have TSA PreCheck, but the standard security line was moving just as smoothly, with only about 25 people waiting.

Just a friendly reminder that airport traffic can vary from day to day, but today was definitely easy peasy! ✈️😊

Usually when I catch up with my Sandals and Beaches friends, especially my Jamaican friends, we’re somewhere in the Caribbean. But this week, I had the honor of hosting Lancelot Lebert, General Manager of Beaches Negril, right here in my hometown of Maryville, TN.

We spent the day showing him some of my favorite local spots…. lunch at the Townsend Abbey, tasting locally distilled bourbon at Company Distilling, sticking our feet in the Little River, and of course snapping the obligatory photo at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park sign. 🏔️

We wrapped up the evening hosting a dinner with clients excited about planning their upcoming Sandals and Beaches vacations. It was one of those days that reminds me just how special this industry really is.

Travel creates friendships, partnerships and memories. And every once in a while, it brings a little piece of Jamaica to East Tennessee. 🇯🇲

I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships and partnership we’ve built with Sandals Resorts over the years, for opportunities like this and the support they provide my hometown travel agency 🤍
