✨ Chasing the Northern Lights? Here’s what I learned!
I was in a Princess Cruises training today when the Northern Lights came up, and it brought me right back to planning my own trip to see them! 🇳🇴
If seeing the Aurora Borealis is on your bucket list, here are a few things I learned along the way:
🌌 Norway Cruise: October - March is peak season for Northern Lights viewing.
🌌 Alaska and Iceland Cruises: Late September can be a great time to try to catch them.
☁️ Biggest tip: You’re not really chasing the Northern Lights… you’re chasing clear skies!
Even with the perfect location and a Northern Lights tour booked, there’s never a guarantee you’ll see them. That’s why I recommend giving yourself more than one opportunity to catch them instead of planning your entire trip around one night.
📱 Use technology to your advantage! There are several Northern Lights apps that can help you monitor Aurora activity, forecasts, cloud coverage, and the best times to look. They can send alerts when activity is increasing, which can be incredibly helpful when you’re trying to decide whether it’s worth heading outside for a look!
✨ Seeing the Northern Lights was an unforgettable experience for me and my husband, and I’d love to help you plan a trip with the best possible opportunity to see them!
