Dreams Playa Mujeres 🌴
After spending a week at Dreams Playa Mujeres, I can honestly see why so many families return year after year.
Located just north of Cancun on the Caribbean sea, this resort sits on a beautiful stretch of white sand with calm, turquoise water. It has a more peaceful feel than the busy Hotel Zone but is still an easy drive from the airport.
The vacation starts the moment you arrive. We were greeted with smiling faces, a warm towel, a glass of champagne, and one of the prettiest lobby views I've ever seen. Looking straight through the open air lobby to the pools and ocean instantly puts you in vacation mode.
One thing that really stood out to me was the staff. Every single day, no matter where we were, someone smiled, said hello, or asked if we needed anything. It made the resort feel genuinely welcoming.
For families, it's hard to beat. Between the water park, lazy river, three pools, kids club, teen lounge, and daily activities, there was always something to do. Our boys could have spent every day at the water park, while our daughter loved relaxing by the infinity pool with a frozen drink in hand.
Food is always a big question when booking an all inclusive, and Dreams didn't disappoint. With 10 dining options, 13 bars and lounges, plus 24 hour room service, everyone in our family found favorites (room service was definitely a nightly tradition!)
The beach was beautiful. There was a small amount of sargassum while we were there, but the crews worked every morning to keep it clean. One of the coolest features is the dolphin habitat on the property you can actually watch the dolphins swimming and playing while you're relaxing on the beach.
Another surprise.. The weddings. We saw three during our stay, and each one was stunning. My favorite was an overwater aisle built across the infinity pool. I'd never seen anything like it. The evening reception in the gardens looked absolutely magical.
One perk many people don't realize is that Dreams guests also have access to Secrets Playa Mujeres, the adults only resort next door. It's just a short golf cart ride away and a fun option if you want a quieter afternoon or date night.
Would I recommend Dreams Playa Mujeres? Absolutely. Whether you're planning a family vacation, destination wedding, or celebrating something special, this resort offers a little bit of everything without ever feeling overwhelming.
