Today was the last day for free waterpark access on check-in day for Walt Disney World Resort guests, and Disney already confirmed this onsite benefit is returning for summer 2027! Dates for next year are TBD, but this year it was May 26- September 8, 2026.

I made a promise to myself that once I had both kids in school full-time, I would focus more on my career in travel and my personal development. I didn’t waste any time – the kids started school on Tuesday and by Wednesday morning I was in Riviera Maya for Future Leaders in Travel!

It was an amazing few days full of group sessions and presentations, connecting with other travel advisors and one on one meetings with suppliers from cruise lines to European destination management companies and visitor’s bureaus.

A million thanks to Northstar, TravelAge West Magazine and LOMAS TRAVEL for including me in such an amazing event.

If you’re looking for a fun stop in Downtown Pittsburgh, the new Arts Landing playground is a great new addition. There’s a small space for toddlers, but it’s best for climbers age 5-12.

If you’re considering a Norwegian Cruise, Great Stirrup Cay is one of the best parts about sailing in the Caribbean with NCL.

Some of the highlights:

🌊Splash Harbor: A fun splash playground for kids with great waterslides

🌊 Great Life Lagoon: A huge pool with 2 swimup bars. One side has a splash pad and is quieter, and the other side has music and entertainment

🌊 Beaches: There’s a main beach area that’s included for everyone. For an extra charge, you can access the VIBE Shore Club or you can access the Silver Cove Lagoon with a Silver Club Villa booking, which includes its own beach and infinity pool.

🌊Food: Several options are included, like Abaco Taco, Jumbey Beach Grill and a food truck. There are also bars throughout the island, and if you have a drink package it works on the island too.

🌊 Activities: Floats and Snorkel rentals, ziplining and other activities can be booked

NEW for September 2026: The Great Tides Waterpark will open at Great Stirrup Cay on September 4. This will be such a fun addition to the island when it opens.

Note that you currently need to tender to get to Great Stirrup Cay, but once the waterpark is open the pier to dock there will also open- so no more tender 🙌🏻

Moms (and Dads!) if you’re struggling to pack in a carry on only, I highly recommend getting a small roller suitcase for your littles. It’s the size of a personal bag, which frees up an extra carry-on for your family 🙌🏻

P.S. I did this for 10 days in Europe by putting all of my clothes in my suitcase and using a soft weekend bag for toiletries, shoes and extra things. I’ve been able to pack 2 weeks of clothes for my kids in these suitcases and then their shoes or toiletries in the extra bag as needed.
