This is why I say take a break from the parks. One of the sweetest FREE activities at Walt Disney World has to be their Movies Under the Stars nightly events.

All Disney resorts host nightly outdoor Disney movie screenings where families can relax together after a busy park day. I know, I know, leaving the parks early and sacrificing precious ride time seems wasteful, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. These moments can become some of the most unexpectedly magical parts of the trip. Here’s why:

⭐️It’s a low-pressure evening activity and no lines

⭐️It’s downtime after the over-stimulation of the parks

⭐️Your room is just steps away when eyes get heavy

🎂Have you tried Cake Bake? The Cake Bake is located on Disney Worlds Boardwalk, a short walk from Epcot.

🍰They have a new flavor, for a limited time. The cake features layers of rich French Valrhona chocolate cake filled with silky chocolate ganache, fluffy marshmallow buttercream, and mini marshmallows.

🩵The cake is frosted with dreamy blue marshmallow buttercream ribbons and topped with Pixie Shimmer mini marshmallows.

Team building never generated so many laughs. Have you ever rented a Surrey bike? You can at Walt Disney World at select resorts! It’s a lot of fun, BUT, let me warn you...THEY ARE A WORKOUT! Especially up hill and if one of your crew suddenly forgets how teamwork actually works.

But all kidding aside, these are the kinds of memories that make you want to return year after year and the kids remember forever. And that’s exactly why I help my clients think beyond the rides, Lightning Lanes and dining reservations. Some of the best and most favorite memories you’ll make may happen outside of the parks. If your kids are obsessed with dinos, don’t overlook the T-Rex restaurant at Disney Springs.

Most people know it as a themed restaurant, but inside, there’s also a Build-a-Dino workshop where kids can create and customize their own dinosaur plush to take home.

Why you *might* say yes:

🦖It’s a souvenir that will last a long time

🦕It’s a nice air-conditioned break from the sun

🦖It’s a great rainy day or arrival day activity AND souvenir

🦕It’s a fun option for kids who LOVE dinosaurs

Day one: Our Disneyland adventure began with a considerable plane ride to California, which tested my endurance in an unexpected way. We are based at Disney's Pixar Resort, a cost-effective option that boasts an impressive Pixar theme. The resort's recent renovation is evident in its immaculate condition and well-executed theme integration. We made a daytime visit to Disneyland park and took the monorail, where the driver kindly offered us seats in the front car. Following some thrilling rides and delightful snacks, such as churros and beignets enjoyed by Gavin, we returned to the resort to unwind. The next day's itinerary promises to be action-packed. Stay tuned for more fun!
