I’ve never been very good at goodbyes… so I’m just gonna hook up the boat and sneak out of town before Fort Peck notices. 😂🎣
Today was officially our last day on Fort Peck for the season. We finished it off with plenty of lake trout, but the salmon got the last laugh—skunked us two days in a row. Doggone it!
I’m not gonna sugarcoat it the salmon fishing was TOUGH this year. We had to earn every damn one of them. But we kept grinding, stayed after it, and still managed to put some absolute BEAUTIES in the boat. We caught piles of lake trout, some great salmon, and mixed in a few walleye and pike along the way. All in all, one heck of a first season!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who climbed in our boats and trusted Fish On Charters this year. You guys made our first season on Fort Peck one to remember.
Also a big thank you to Fort Peck Marina for keeping us supplied with fuel, ice, and a great tackle selection. And thank you to Lakeridge Lodging & Bait Shop for giving our guests a great place to stay and keeping us stocked up on tackle as well. We really appreciate the support!
Now it’s time to point the truck west and head home.
We learned a LOT in year one.
Year two… we’re coming back smarter, bigger, and probably just as stubborn. 😂🔥
