Lancaster Moms Group

Lancaster Moms Group Lancaster Moms is a group that provides support and friendship for Lancaster County, Pennsylvania moms and their children.

While the majority of our members are stay-at-home moms with babies, toddlers and preschoolers, we welcome any interested mom to join our group. Our daytime activities include weekly playgroups open to all ages, playground visits, trips to museums, storytimes at local libraries, and other fun activities. Our calendar includes not only events being hosted by group members but also usually includes

a wide selection of activities offered in the Lancaster area each month. Our evening activities include a monthly Moms Night Out at local restaurants and potluck dinner playgroups. Some of our family evening or weekend activities have included pizza nights and holiday parties. In addition to our activities, we provide meals for our moms and families after giving birth, illness or whenever the need arises. We also offer a Moms Morning Out for moms to drop off kids and run a few errands kid free. And when moms need to get out of the house for a bit we meet at a restaurant for a Mom’s Night Out or one of the members may host a craft night or game night in their home. We also give back to our communities through various service projects selected by our members.

Strawberry picking is starting! My friend over a the Tomato Barn has picking at their farm for the first time! Picking starts Memorial Day!

We also love Hoover's up between Lititz and Rothsville. They have a little play area and a great Amish farm market and garden center, worth the drive for us! They also seem to extend their season longer than any of the other farms I have checked with. Call to see if picking is open.

Last year we tried out Weaver's Orchard up near Reading for the first time, that was also a hike but we got to pick blueberries, strawberries and raspberries I think... they have picnic tables, animals, and a nice market store as well. May be fun in conjunction with a visit to Blue Marsh Lake (25ish min) or BBs in Morgantown (10 min). Strawberry Picking to start around June 6.

I think Stone Lane Farm may have closed down (the Tomato Barn was in charge of the strawberry picking there last year and now I can't find any info on them)

Reminder that this weekend is the last to get the full discount for our 2017 CSA program shares. Full Share $250 & Small Share $124 for 12-week summer season! Please feel free to drop off CSA pamphlet filled out with check in an envelope and drop by in our money slot on the roadside stand or just send in mail postmarked by 4/30/17.
