A few weeks ago, I got a call from a customer who tried to cut down a tree in his backyard. He put a strap in it and hooked it to another tree using a come-a-long. He tensioned the tree and everything was going well until it didn't.
The tree fell 90° from where he wanted and landed on his roof and deck. Fortunately he was not hurt. You can see the strap still on the tree.
We came out with a bucket truck and removed the tree from the house.
Sometimes, it's wise to call the professionals first. The pics and story were shared with his permission.

Today's rain should be just what the tree's need to make everything pop! The good news is the White Oak in my front yard will finally drop it's leaves from last year. For some Oakes this is normal. Don't remove the tree just enjoy the fact that it's an over achiever!

Quite a round of storms Monday night. We're busy removing trees from houses and cleaning up debris. After a big storm, look up for broken limbs still hanging in the trees. We call them "widowmakers" for a reason. Stay safe out there.
