Airport goodbyes just got a little sweeter! ✈️💛
For many of us, walking a loved one to the gate was once part of the journey. When my children were small, I loved accompanying them to the gate before their summer trips to visit their grandparents. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were settled and comfortable. The Flight Attendants would even let me go on the plane. Well that's over! 🥹
Now, Gateside by TSA PreCheck allows eligible non-ticketed visitors to enter the secure areas of 13 participating airports—to say goodbye, welcome someone home, visit a friend during a layover, or help a child, older adult or nervous traveler reach the gate.
Here’s what you need to know:
✈️ You must be an eligible trusted traveler with a Known Traveler Number
✈️ Apply 1–3 days before your visit
✈️ The one-day pass is free
✈️ Approval is based on airport capacity
✈️ You must present acceptable identification and complete security screening
Participating airports: AZA, CMH, DFW, DTW, ICT, IND, LAS, LAX, LIT, OKC, OMA, SAN and SLC.
It isn’t quite the unrestricted airport access we enjoyed before 9/11—but for many passengers and their loved ones, this could mean so much.
