Real people, real travel. That’s what Cities and Seas is all about.

We’re not influencers with stock photos — we’re just the Cities and Seas crew who genuinely love to travel. Every trip we take, we learn something new about the world, the ships, the islands, the cities, and the best ways to do it without wasting money or time.

We started this page to share what we learn along the way. If we can help someone plan a better trip, avoid a mistake, find a great excursion, or discover a place they didn’t even know existed, then it’s worth it. And yeah… if we can make a little commission and earn a few free trips along the way, we won’t complain about that either.

If you like travel, help us grow the page.
Follow us, like the post, invite your friends, and travel with us.

We’re working on building something fun here and we’d love your help.
Cities and Seas isn’t just a travel page — we want it to be a community of people who love cruises, islands, road trips, and finding new places to explore. Everything we post comes from trips we’ve actually taken, and the goal is to share ideas, tips, and places that are worth adding to your list.

If you enjoy travel content, help us grow the page.
Like the page, share a post, and invite your friends who love to travel too. The more people here, the more ideas, stories, and recommendations we can all share.

Drop a comment and tell us your favorite place you’ve ever been. We’re always looking for new places to go.

We may be new here, but the trips you see on this page are ours. Every photo we post is from somewhere we’ve actually been. We’ve been on the ships, walked the ports, climbed the waterfalls, toured the cities, and learned which places are worth your time and which ones aren’t.

We started Cities and Seas because we enjoy traveling, and we enjoy helping other people travel even more. We’re not here to gate-keep anything. If we know a great spot, a better excursion, an easier way to book, or something you should avoid, we’re going to share it.

When you message us, you’re talking to real people who have actually been there, not a stock photo page and not a call center. Just honest advice from travelers who love the islands, the ships, and the adventure.

Message us today and let’s plan your next trip.

Sometimes the best way to recharge your soul isn’t more sleep, more coffee, or another weekend at home… it’s salt air, sunshine, and a passport.

There’s something about visiting the islands that just resets everything. The slower pace, the warm breeze, the sound of the ocean, and the feeling that the only thing on your schedule is deciding which beach to sit on next. Whether it’s the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, or anywhere surrounded by blue water, island time has a way of clearing your mind and reminding you what relaxing actually feels like.

Travel doesn’t just take you somewhere new — it gives you your energy back.

If your soul needs a reset, it might be time to visit the islands.

One of the most interesting places we’ve visited close to home is The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. This place is massive and full of history, and it’s one of those spots that’s great for both adults and kids.

The museum and village sit on more than 90 acres and make up one of the premier indoor-outdoor history complexes in the country. It was founded by Henry Ford in 1929, and the goal was to preserve important pieces of American history so people could experience them in person instead of just reading about them.

Inside the museum, you’ll find everything from historic cars and airplanes to presidential limousines and inventions that changed the world. Outside in Greenfield Village is where it really gets unique. Entire historic buildings were moved there, including Thomas Edison’s laboratory and the Wright Brothers’ home, along with working farms, shops, and streets that make it feel like you stepped back in time.

You can easily spend a full day here, and honestly even that doesn’t feel like enough. It’s a great road trip stop if you’re traveling through Michigan, or even worth the trip on its own.

Have you ever been to The Henry Ford, or is it still on your list to visit?

Grand Turk is one of those cruise ports that is all about relaxing. The ship pulls in, you walk off, and you’re immediately in clear blue water and white sand. No long rides, no complicated plans, just step off the ship and enjoy the island.

One of the best parts about Grand Turk is how close everything is to the port. The beach is right there, along with shops, restaurants, and the famous pool at the cruise center. If you want a simple beach day, this is one of the easiest places to do it.

Grand Turk also has some great history. The island is known for its old lighthouse, its connection to early space missions, and the fact that Christopher Columbus is believed to have landed in the Turks and Caicos islands on his first voyage to the New World.

If you want more adventure, you can do snorkeling, diving, or island tours, but honestly this is one stop where doing nothing might be the best plan.

Grand Turk is one of our favorite ports for a laid-back day.

Do you like busy excursion ports, or do you prefer easy beach days like Grand Turk?

Key West is one of those cruise stops that feels completely different from anywhere else in the U.S. The minute you get off the ship, the vibe changes. It’s laid back, colorful, a little quirky, and a lot of fun to explore.

One of the best things about Key West is how easy it is to get around. You can walk to almost everything right from the port. Duval Street is full of shops, bars, and restaurants, and it’s the perfect place to just wander and see where the day takes you.

There’s a lot of history here too. You can visit the Southernmost Point, check out the old forts, see the Ernest Hemingway Home, or just enjoy the views of the water from all around the island. And of course, you can’t leave without trying a slice of key lime pie.

Key West is one of those ports where you don’t need a big excursion planned. Just get off the ship, start walking, and enjoy the day.

Have you been to Key West, or is it still on your list to visit?

San Juan, Puerto Rico is one of our favorite cruise ports, and one we never get tired of visiting. It has the perfect mix of history, scenery, and great food, all in a place that’s easy to explore in a day.

One of the highlights of San Juan is the old Spanish forts overlooking the ocean. Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal are incredible to see in person, and the views of the water and the city from the top are worth the walk alone. You can spend hours just exploring the walls, tunnels, and grounds around them.

Old San Juan itself is full of charm, with colorful buildings, brick streets, balconies, and amazing sights around every corner. It’s one of those places where you don’t really need a plan, just walk and take it all in.

Fun fact, San Juan is also home to the original piña colada. Several places claim it, but either way, it’s the perfect place to grab one while walking through the old city.

This is one port where we always recommend getting off the ship and exploring.

Have you been to San Juan, or is it still on your cruise bucket list?

One of the coolest stops we found in Las Vegas was the Neon Museum. If you like old Vegas history, vintage signs, or just something different than the Strip, this place is worth the visit.

The Neon Museum is located at 770 North Las Vegas Boulevard and sits on about 2 acres filled with classic signs from old casinos, hotels, and businesses from Las Vegas history. The main area, called the Neon Boneyard, is where many of the restored and unrestored signs are displayed, along with the smaller North Gallery section.

You can do guided tours or walk through on your own, and every sign has a story behind it. Hearing how some of these places used to look and what Vegas was like years ago makes the experience even better. It’s one of those spots that feels like a mix of history museum and outdoor art exhibit.

This is a great stop if you want a break from the casinos, or if you just want to see a different side of Las Vegas.

Have you ever been to the Neon Museum, or do you usually stay on the Strip when you visit Vegas?
