It’s been such a grounding experience to be able to get my hands into the soil and have the time and space to work with my boys in our own garden during quarantine. As horrific, heartbreaking and stressful as it has been as lives have been lost, anger and entitlement have incubated and fostered hostility, hatred and violence... I want my boys to remember more than that. I want them (and others) to search for the hope and the opportunity to make this world better. I’m grateful to have had the space to get back to my roots... literally. LOOK AT THESE GORGEOUS ROOTS! I’d given up on this squash seed... I checked on everything today and gasped when I saw these itty bitty hairs that normally would be under the soil. I felt privileged to get this sneak peek into new life thriving against the odds when hope was lost. I can definitely tell a difference using amendments and inoculants. Compassion, cannabis, chickens, and kindness of others are some of the best therapy in a world turned upside down. Stay healthy. Stay safe. Be kind.
