New favorite rooftop in Seattle? Found it.
Caught golden hour at the new and wow — the view of the Space Needle peeking through the skyline is so good.

Add in late summer sun, an Aperol spritz, and wildflowers at your table and… yeah, I’m staying awhile. 🌇🌼

It’s always exciting when something new pops up in the neighborhood that actually fits — thoughtful, relaxed, elevated but still Seattle at heart.

Lake breezes, dockside walks, and neighborhood charm — Kirkland is what lakefront living is all about.

I spent the day wandering through downtown Kirkland, camera in hand, chasing light between coffee shops, shoreline parks, and tree-lined streets. There’s a rhythm to this place — families in Marina Park, friends gathering outside local wine bars, and boutique storefronts full of character. The sits right in the middle of it all, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring.

These five frames capture just a slice of what makes Kirkland feel like a favorite small-town getaway tucked beside a city.

Many years ago I saw a picture of the cherry blossoms in Japan and thought how nice would it be to see them in person. Now having had the chance, it was even better than I dreamed of.

Of course the dream is only the seed of imagination of what’s in your heart. And whenever you follow your heart, your dreams are your reality. Sam by my side made it all the more wonderful. 🌸

The moment that makes my heart swell every time I think about it is sitting beside Sam and seeing everyone we love together in one special room.

Alright sentimental stuff aside and now for some fun facts…

Sleepless in Seattle was filmed in the same venue. One of my all time favs. Tom Hanks was also “Sam” in the movie. 🎥

My dad calls Sam, Shirtless in Seattle.

My niece was asleep for (almost) the entire wedding.

My bouquet was inspired by my Grandmas bouquet on her wedding day.

Sam’s speech was literally 20 min long. My mom recorded the entire thing. DM for a copy. 🎤

The cougs won that day.

Sam and I were nervous at different times. I was slightly concerned he didn’t cry when he saw me. 🚩

Joe is considering a new career path after becoming ordained in WA 👏🏻

Somewhere over the rainbow (instrumental) was the processional song because, dreams really do come true 🌈

Don’t get a super high slit in your wedding dress because your hoo-ha will show 👀

Pregnant Courtney danced so hard, baby had re-positioned 🤰

I’ve never seen a bunch of fraternity guys love to dance together so much and we’re so good at it! 🕺

Sam tried to feed himself first when we cut the cake together 🫨 wtf

Grandma Lil threw back some champagne after signing our marriage license 🥂

And I would literally do it all over again (with Sam of course) 💒

Sharing more soon 🫶🏻 I love looking at our wedding day photos. It was one of the best days of my life and brings me joy to “revisit” those moments seeing everyone I love together.
