When I met with Joella and Chris to start working on their invitation suite, I knew they wanted something that would exhibit class, sophistication, elegance and beauty. I was so excited when the couple decided to go glam all the way with a stunning glitter paper matte and rhinestone ribbon buckle. Their invitation was printed on a gorgeous quartz irredescent cardstock that glinted in the light and perfectly accented the matte. Their inserts, also on the quartz cardstock, fit so perfectly in the pockets, like they were made for each other! I topped it off with 3 swarovski crystals on each invite and RSVP so when they received the RSVPs back, they got a little glamour too! When folded, the suite was finished with the white satin ribbon and a buckle that echoed the bride-to-be's amazing engagement ring. It was a pleasure working with this couple, and getting to stare at the glitter paper all day!
What I did not anticipate was the glue that I used (and have used for every invitation suite I have done thus far) not holding up during the shipping from my bride's hands to the guests doorstep, and upon opening, the beautiful glitter paper and invite releasing in their hands. While it was unfortunate and completely unforeseen, I can't even tell you how it makes me feel to have this burden and stress present itself with no warning to my bride, her parents and the groom and his parents. Not only was I devastated to find this out because of all the time and work I put into them, but there is nothing that I can do that can take back the embarrassment my clients felt. For that I am truly, madly, deeply sorry...
I will never again make this mistake. And I will put any invite or card that I present through a rigorous test to make sure that they hold up. This has been an eye opening (and tearing up) experience for me, and I cannot begin to express my apologies for Joella and Chris.
Thank you for being so gracious, and accepting my apologies. I am incredibly saddened and amazingly sorry that I cannot even put these emotions into words.
Please feel free to tag yourselves in the pictures!
