My trip to Jamaica last year was a dream. Sunsets, beach days, rum punch, and one amazing evening on the Luminous Lagoon. We cruised the bay at sunset with reggae playing, then swam through glowing water under the stars. It was a week I’ll never forget.

Two weeks ago I sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas for the first time. I had never been on a ship this large, and while it took some getting used to (and lots of exploring) I ended up really loving it!

We stopped at Nassau and visited the Royal Beach Club which was so nice (heated pools!) plus Perfect Day at Coco Cay. I spent most of my time on the ship in the Solarium, soaking up the sun and the drinks and the hot tub, but this ship has so much to do and see! In fact, it would be absolutely perfect for families with everything from mini-golf, a carousel, water slides, zip lining, sports, and lots more!

Even better, you can set sail out of Port Canaveral and bookend your 3 or 4 day Bahamas cruise with a stop at Disney World or Universal Studios!

If Japan is on your 2027 bucket list, this is for you!

I’m hosting a group cruise to Japan from July 26 – August 7, 2027. This itinerary showcases a great variety of cities, Japanese culture, amazing food, and beautiful scenery!

We’ll also be there during the Nebuta Festival, a unique experience with massive illuminated floats, music, and dancing filling the streets!

A few highlights:
• Start in Tokyo
• Shimizu for Mt. Fuji views, or Hakone if Fuji is hiding
• Two days to explore Kyoto and Osaka (or even Nara)
• A day in Busan, South Korea!
• Hakodate + Aomori
• Two days at the Nebuta Festival

BONUS: you only have to unpack once! This is such an easy way to see a lot of Japan without worrying about all the logistics.

Since this is a hosted group trip you’ll also have support and guidance along the way, but still plenty of flexibility to explore at your own pace.

I am so excited for this family! They opted for a slightly different itinerary for their first trip to Japan, forgoing the Golden Route and heading to both Kanazawa and Kinosaki Onsen for a more immersive experience into the local culture. They’ll be staying in a fantastic ryokan complete with kaiseki dinners, private hot springs, and yukata. I cannot wait for them to experience all the magic of Japan this fall!
