💙 Nonprofit of the Month: Reinventing Ourselves 💙

One of the greatest privileges of owning a small business is being able to support organizations that are making a real difference in our communities.

This month, a portion of Travel by Chanel Owens' professional planning fees will be donated to Reinventing Ourselves, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting health, happiness, and hope through education, connection, storytelling, and community-driven initiatives.

Through programs like the Arkansas Wellness Network and Thriving After The Fire, Reinventing Ourselves is helping individuals find resources, build resilience, share their stories, and create healthier futures for themselves and their communities.🦋

🌎One of my favorite shows as a kid was Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?

I was fascinated by the idea of tracking adventures across the globe, following clues to faraway places, and discovering destinations I had never heard of before.

Fast forward a few decades, and somehow I get to live my own version of it every day… minus the spy missions and international mystery-solving.

Right now, Travel by Chanel Owens travelers are exploring Mexico, London, Paris, Tokyo, Kyoto, Istanbul, Scotland, Mykonos, and more. While I’m here in Arkansas planning the details, my clients are out making memories around the world.

It’s one of the things I love most about this job. On any given day, a little piece of my heart is wandering through ancient cities, relaxing on beautiful beaches, exploring new cultures, and experiencing incredible adventures across the globe.

A sweet family is off on an incredible adventure through Japan, exploring Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. From sumo wrestling and bullet trains to ancient temples, Mt. Fuji views, amazing food, and unforgettable cultural experiences, this trip is packed with memories in the making.

Some destinations are planned. Others completely surprise you. 🇹🇷✨

Turkey was one of those places I recommended to clients who hadn’t considered it at first… and it quickly became one of the places they loved most.

From sunrise hot air balloons drifting over Cappadocia to cave hotels, ancient history, vibrant patterns, unforgettable food, and moments that feel unlike anywhere else in the world — Turkey has a way of surprising you.

Sometimes the most meaningful journeys are the ones you never saw coming.

🍂 Fall Fun 🍁

This fall my family and pur besties — are headed to Kentucky for one of those trips that feels like a little bit of everything we love.

We’re staying on a horse farm near Keeneland (horse girl dreams unlocked), exploring the legendary Buffalo Trace Distillery, checking out the Louisville Slugger Factory, and heading to Red River Gorge where we’re planning to kayak through caves and soak in all the fall views.

Bourbon, horses, outdoor adventures, cozy fall scenery, and family memories all packed into one trip? Kentucky understood the assignment.

Airport hotels don’t usually make the highlight reel… until they do.

My clients stayed at Hotel Isola Sacra near Rome Airport for their final night in Italy and immediately sent photos because they loved it so much. Quiet gardens, a peaceful atmosphere, and a restaurant that honestly looked like something out of a movie.

These are the kinds of details I love finding when planning travel — those unexpected places that turn a simple overnight stay into part of the experience.

Because the last night of vacation should still feel special.
