Welcome to Salerno Italy. We took a ferry over to the Amalfi coast. It wasn’t the best day weatherwise, but that didn’t stop us. Salerno is the perfect base for Travelers who want the Amalfi coast experience with more space, better value ,and truly local atmosphere. It’s a walkable seaside with a beautiful predominant, medieval landmarks and excellent connections to Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Pompeii.

Well, let me first say our first Virgin cruise will not be our last!

I wanted to run down some of my favorite observations

1. 🙍🏻🙍🏻‍♂️Adults only no one under 18

2. 👨‍🍳🥯🥩No buffets or assigned seating everything is made to order and all specialty dining is included. This includes over 20+ restaurants.

3. 🧘‍♀️If exercise is your thing on vacation group fitness classes are included along with basic Wi-Fi. I did have to purchase an upgraded plan because I do work while I’m on vacation.

4. 🥤All essential drinks (coffee, tea, soda, water) are all included in the fare. 🍺🍷🥂Alcoholic beverages are via a Bar Tab. No beverage packages.

5. 💃🏻🕺🏽Exceptional Entertainment immersive, creative. Signature events Scarlet Night ship wide party in RED!!

6. 💋Cabins include mood lighting and red hammocks on balconies.

Day 1 in the books. This has already become my favorite ship. A few highlights - no kids! Nothing against kids but it’s nice to be on an adults only. I love the food! Virgin has prepared packaged meals ready to grab and go. Food is handed to you by staff no touching of the food. Virgin will also on request prepare an item to your personal preference. Surprisingly the ship may look smaller but with occupancy at just over 2700 is not overly crowded. I can’t wait for our next Virgin cruise next month. 🚢
