A profound loss to the music world. Zakir Hussain was one of the most humble and charming individuals I have ever met and undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians.

I had the privilege of accompanying him on stage a couple of times and attending many of his unforgettable concerts. His music and rhythm had the power to transport us to another world. His interviews and talks were a constant source of learning and inspiration, and they will remain so.

His music will live on forever. May he rest in peace.
