The famous Letchworth Arts and Crafts Show and Sale in October hosted by the Arts Council for Wyoming County is going to be in the village of Perry this year!

Those sky colors in Lockport last night were fantastic! The “Flight of Five” lock system here was one of the most complicated spots on the canal to engineer but doing so helped secure this little city’s future fate as a great place on the canal to explore (and get ice cream).

Ever seen "Last Of The Mohicans"? Then you probably already know that the British surrendered at Fort Henry in Lake George after what historians refer to as a "massacre". That happened on August 10, 1757 right on the shores of

The battle was later dramatized in James Fenimore Cooper's book "Last Of the Mohicans" (and a bunch of different movies, too.)

During the French & Indian War, Fort William Henry was a hotbed of activity. In 1757, the British were forced to surrender the fort to the French.
