🎬 Hollywood Brown Derby (Disney’s Hollywood Studios) 🎬

Some Disney restaurants are about the food.
Some are about the atmosphere.

Brown Derby feels like stepping into classic Hollywood Studios history for me.
Between the old Hollywood details, celebrity caricatures, cocktails, and slower pace, this is one of my favorite places to escape the chaos of a busy park day for a little while.

The menu may not be the most expansive compared to other signature dining spots on property, but there are still a few staples here that I look forward to every time... the Cobb Salad, Grapefruit Cake, and those insanely good au gratin potatoes 🥔

✨ One tip: if you can’t grab a reservation, try the Brown Derby Lounge outside. You’ll still get access to much of the same menu and cocktails in a more relaxed patio setting.

📌 Save this for your next Disney trip — especially if you’re planning a Hollywood Studios day.

🐟 Flying Fish (Disney’s Boardwalk Inn) 🐟

There are some Disney restaurants where the meal is the destination… and then there are places like Flying Fish where the entire AREA becomes part of the experience.

This is one of our favorite restaurants for a full EPCOT-area night.

After a long park day, there’s just something about leaving EPCOT or Hollywood Studios and slowing things down around Crescent Lake — live entertainment on the Boardwalk (think jugglers and magicians), waterfront views, evening energy, cocktails, and an upscale dinner that still feels fun instead of overly formal.

And Flying Fish fits that atmosphere perfectly.

One thing I love about this spot (other than the AMAZING food) is that it works for so many different Disney trips:
✨ Disney adults night out
✨ Resort hopping evenings
✨Post park (EPCOT and Hollywood Studios) relaxation
✨ Families wanting something elevated but still lively and entertaining

And if you’re already there for dinner, AbracadaBar next door is such a fun stop before or afterward. The entire lounge is themed around old magicians and illusionists, with hidden details and a darker vintage vibe that feels completely different from most Disney lounges.

📌 Save this for your next Disney trip — especially if you’re planning an EPCOT!

🌊 Narcoossee’s (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) 🌊

This is one of those Disney restaurants that instantly feels special the second you walk in.

Sitting right on the water at the Grand Floridian, Narcoossee’s is the kind of place where dinner slowly turns into an entire Disney evening.... cocktails, seafood, Seven Seas Lagoon views, and a post-dinner stroll around one of the most beautiful resorts on property.

And somehow, even with all of that atmosphere, the food is even better!

The Shrimp & Grits, Calamari, and Brisket Tortelloni are automatic orders for us every trip, but the scallops may possibly be one of the best dishes I've had anywhere at Disney. Add in the signature Almond-crusted Cheesecake and a classic Old-Fashioned, and it’s easy to see why this spot stays in our regular rotation.

✨ Pro tip: If you’re spending the day in Magic Kingdom, take the walkway over to the Grand Floridian afterward — it’s the perfect way to unwind and cool off after a busy park day. And if you’re already making a full evening out of it, keep Enchanted Rose in mind before or after dinner 👀

Everything we ordered + my full breakdown is in the graphic ➡️

📌 Save this for your next Disney trip — especially if you’re planning a resort night or special dinner.

🥩 Steakhouse 71 (Disney’s Contemporary Resort) 🥩

This is one of those Disney restaurants that just gets it right.

Steakhouse 71 somehow manages to feel nostalgic and modern at the same time. It has unique Disney touches, cozy lounge spaces, incredible service, and consistently solid food without some of the higher Disney steakhouse price tags.

And the best part? It’s only ONE Disney Dining Plan table service credit.

We’ve eaten here multiple times now, and it continues to be one of the most reliable meals on property for us.

The sauce flight with the steaks is a must. The Bacon & Eggs appetizer completely lives up to the hype. And the Heron Gimlet, inspired by Lillian Disney is one of the most unique cocktails we’ve had at Disney.

This is also one of my favorite restaurants to turn into a full resort evening:
✨ Browse the Contemporary shops (BVG is one of the best on property)
✨ Catch Magic Kingdom fireworks from the resort
✨ Or hop the monorail afterward for a resort monorail crawl

Some of our favorites + my full breakdown is in the graphic ➡️

🥩 Le Cellier Steakhouse (EPCOT – Canada Pavilion) 🍁

This may be my hottest Disney dining take yet… 👀

Le Cellier feels like the EPCOT restaurant everyone SAYS you have to try at least once. And while the atmosphere still lives up to the hype, the food & service just haven't for us lately, especially at these prices.

Considering this uses TWO Disney Dining Plan table service credits, I’d personally rather grab a craft cocktail, cheese plate, and poutine and call it a day.

The cozy wine cellar vibe? Still amazing.
The reputation? Still huge.
But for us, the recent meals just haven’t matched the price tag.

And for steak lovers specifically, I think there are better steakhouse options elsewhere on Disney property... which we’ll definitely be getting to later in this series 👀

Everything we tried + my full breakdown is in the graphic ➡️

Have you been to Le Cellier? If so, do you still love it… or do you think it’s overrated now? 👇

🥃GEO-82 (EPCOT) 🧀

This might genuinely be one of the most sophisticated spaces in all of Walt Disney World.

Hidden beside Spaceship Earth, GEO-82 feels nothing like the chaotic theme park environment people expect from Disney. The second you walk in, everything slows down... warm towels, ambient lighting, creative cocktails, quiet conversation, and a vibe that feels more like a modern city lounge than something inside a theme park.

EPCOT NEEDED THIS!

One of my favorite details is that GEO-82 is named after the 1982 opening of Spaceship Earth, so it still feels rooted in classic EPCOT history while somehow feeling incredibly modern at the same time.

This is absolutely a place I’d go out of my way for — not just a “while you’re nearby” stop.

💡 A few things to know:
• It’s 21+ only
• Reservations go FAST because the lounge is small
• Same-day cancellations happen constantly, so keep checking

And yes… the Brown Butter Old-Fashioned fully deserves the hype.

Have you tried GEO-82 and if not, is it on your list? 👇

🍝 Tony’s Town Square Restaurant (Magic Kingdom) 🍝

Okay… this one is definitely a hotly debated Disney dining spot 😂

If you come in expecting authentic, upscale Italian food, this probably isn’t going to blow you away. It’s much more classic comfort-style Italian — honestly closer to an elevated “Disney version” of an Italian family restaurant.

BUT…

I also think Tony’s gets more hate than it deserves.

The atmosphere is charming, the Lady & the Tramp theme is adorable. It's tucked away in a perfect spot as you walk onto Main Street USA, and what the it offers (besides good food) is a nice break from the chaos of Magic Kingdom. Sitting on the porch area and people-watching on Main Street is the best part of the experience for me.

And over the years, the menu has improved A LOT from what it once was. I think many people just haven’t given it another try.

💭 My take:
This isn’t the place I’d recommend for the best Italian meal on Disney property — but it is somewhere I’d recommend for a relaxing sit-down meal with comforting food in a very classic Disney setting.

And the garlic bread with parmesan fonduta? A MUST order every single time 🥖

Are you Team Tony’s… or not convinced yet? 👇

🦁 Tusker House (Animal Kingdom) 🦁

This is such a fun one — and definitely a different vibe from a lot of other dining spots in Disney World.

If you’re looking for a character meal in Animal Kingdom, this is really your main option… but thankfully, it’s actually a good one. It’s colorful, busy, energetic, and there’s always a lot going on — but that’s part of the experience here.

One thing we LOVE to do is check in for our reservation a little early and grab a cocktail from Dawa Bar before dinner. It’s such a fun addition to the experience and a nice way to slow down before heading into the chaos of the buffet.

💭 My take:
This is one of those meals that works really well if you want both character interactions and a good variety of food. There are some unique African-inspired flavors mixed in, but still plenty of familiar options too.

Have you tried Tusker House before? 👇

🍕 Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria (EPCOT – Italy Pavilion) 🍕

We all know… finding really good pizza in Disney World can be a challenge!
This is one spot that actually delivers.

This is one of those places we always dine at when we’re in EPCOT because the family just loves it so much.

It’s definitely one of the busier dining spots, and not somewhere I’d go if I was looking for a quiet, slow meal.

Here’s what we love:
🦑 Calamari to start — crispy and a great way to kick things off
🧀 Arancini (fried risotto balls) — cheesy, rich, and perfect to share
🍕 The margherita pizza is the star — simple, fresh, and exactly what you want from a brick oven pizza
🍰 Cannoli to finish — classic and a great way to end the meal
🍋 And the limoncello flight was such a fun addition — perfect if you want to try a few different flavors

💭 My take:
This is a great go-to when you want something familiar, filling, and easy to share. It may not be the most unique meal in EPCOT, but it’s consistently good and always a solid choice.

👉 Would we go back? YES. We go back EVERY trip.

✨ Pro tip: Book early — this one fills up fast

🦓 The Mara (Animal Kingdom Lodge) 🦬

This one is such a hidden gem — and one we have so many great memories from during our stays here. We usually pop in during a pool day, a late-night bite, or just when we want something easy without heading back into the parks.

If you’re staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge or stopping by to explore, it’s definitely worth a visit for something a little different.

💭 My take:
This is one of my favorite resort quick service spots. It’s convenient and a bit more unique from typical resort quick meals!

👉 Would we go back? Definitely every time we stay here!

✨ Pro tip: Mobile order and enjoy it poolside — one of the best resort break spots
