Hello Wayfarers!

This was an amazing year for the blossoms, the bees, Modesto and Wayfarer. About 350 carloads and a couple busloads of Wayfarers journeyed through the orchards, making this the most active year yet. The Almond Blossom Cruise has joined the list of epic California drives that includes the Redwoods, Malibu/PCH, and Sunset Boulevard.

For those of you who made it out to the Almond Blossoms this year - what did you think? Are images of almond blossoms and the green rolling hills coming up when you close your eyes? Can you still hear the sound of the buzzing bees doing their work?

If so, then you might want to check out some of the amazing paintings and photos that were inspired by the Almond Blossom Cruise. Wayfarer and Visit Modesto teamed up to bring the amazing Los Angeles based artist, Edem Elesh, up to the almond orchards to do some plein air paintings.

Here’s Edem painting out in the orchards, as well as the three paintings of his that we’re listing for sale in our virtual store.
