Why the STRV 103 has no rotating turret.

The "Hydraulic" secret behind its aiming system.

How it became a "Ghost in the Woods" to defend Sweden.

Did New Zealand actually build a tank out of a tractor and corrugated iron? Yes. And it was hilariously bad. 😂

During WWII, terrified of a Japanese invasion and with no real weapons, they created the Bob Semple Tank. It was slow, couldn't climb hills to change gears, and vibrated so badly you couldn't aim the guns.

The USS Wisconsin had a perfect record in WWII—zero direct hits. But in 1952, a single North Korean shell changed everything. The Captain's response? Absolute overkill. 😤

When a 155mm shell struck the ship, injuring three sailors, the Captain ordered a full broadside from all nine 16-inch guns. The result? The entire enemy battery, and the hill it was sitting on, simply vanished.

Nearby, the USS Buck watched the destruction and signaled the Wisconsin with just two words: "Temper, Temper." 🇺🇸

On December 20, 1943, during World War II, American B-17 pilot Charlie Brown was barely alive after a brutal bombing mission over Germany. His aircraft was shattered, crew members were dead and wounded, and survival seemed impossible.

Then something unbelievable happened.

German fighter ace Franz Stigler, flying a Messerschmitt Bf 109 (historical aircraft), approached the crippled B-17. He could have destroyed it in seconds.

Instead… he chose mercy.

Stigler escorted the damaged bomber to safety, risking his own life and reputation. Nearly 50 years later, the two former enemies met — and became lifelong friends.

In a war filled with destruction, this remains one of the most powerful stories of humanity from World War II.

War divides nations. Humanity unites people.

Though controversial, Iwo Jima later saved thousands of American airmen as a vital emergency landing base for B-29 bombers.
