SPROUTS SPROUTS! Sowing Seeds for the Future to all who visit. it is our belief that children are the grassroots activists of the future so that would make them SPROUTS!

Beginning at Forecastle in 2008 as a comfortable place for parents to breastfeed, change diapers, learn about birth options while their children could enjoy music, art and activism like the rest of the festival, the SPROUTS crew continues to nurture with nature and provide information,activities and hands-on learning. The SPROUTS tent is bright and welcoming with tables and chairs for little ones,

relaxing accommodations for adults. Whatever the event or criteria, SPROUTS enjoys modeling activities within the theme of the day. Judy Berger, Emily Ferry, and Cindy Lamb welcome you and your children to spend some time learning and interacting with us at area festivals and family-friendly events.

Attended the Celebrate Midwives Picnic at Brown Park this afternoon. Lots of nice round bellies, babies, children of all ages, mamas and papas and of course, MIDWIVES! Good to see all. There were some freshly painted faces due to the talents of Emily Ferry. If anyone has pictures from the picnic, please share with us. It was a good time despite the last minute appearance of a heavy rain storm and a little hail.

Come by for the annual Poke Salet Festival, part of the special seasonal events at the market. All your favorite produce, prepared foods and beverages, herbs and plants, cheese, baked and canned goods, and meats; as well as live music, food trucks, guest artists, crafters, and vendors.
