We're excited to share a major project underway at Nat Hab’s Rhino Camp in Kenya's Ol Pejeta Conservancy: transforming our camp into a fully solar-powered operation.

This initiative goes beyond powering camp infrastructure. We're converting our safari vehicles from diesel to electric, adding solar-powered support vehicles, and building innovative mobile charging stations that can operate off-grid in the African bush.

When complete, Rhino Camp will be one of two safari camps in Africa where the camp experience—from accommodations to game drives—is powered almost by the sun.

The first mobile solar charging station is expected to arrive at camp this month, with the electric support vehicle expected to arrive in 2026. Two electric game drive vehicles and a second solar charging station are planned for completion ahead of the 2027 safari season.

It's an ambitious undertaking, but one that reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing our footprint while protecting the wild places we explore. https://bit.ly/3SJ5SBC

: A surprise encounter in the Galapagos! One moment, our guide called out, "Whale shark!" The next, it had vanished beneath the surface, seemingly busy feeding. Then, just as we were scanning the horizon and watching pelagic birds, it reappeared—gliding calmly past our group. For a brief moment, it felt as though this gentle giant had come over to say hello before disappearing once more into the blue.

These are the moments that make the Galapagos Islands so extraordinary: unexpected, fleeting, and impossible to forget. https://bit.ly/4bUSHF9
