As many of us pause to give “Thanks” this week, we wanted to take a moment to recognize all of the great employees at Aerofin and the contributions they continue to make in the local community. Today, we had the privilege of hosting a special Veterans Day celebration at the Radcliff Cemetery, located on the Aerofin property. Over the past two years, we’ve been working alongside the Radcliff Cemetery Foundation to restore and preserve this historic site.

The day began with the unveiling of a Patriot Burial Marker, generously donated by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation. We then held a cemetery dedication to honor two remarkable patriots: John Wiatt, a Revolutionary War hero and Lynchburg’s first mayor, and William Norvell, a Patriot of the War of 1812.

It was a truly meaningful day of reflection and gratitude as we paid tribute to the legacy of these extraordinary individuals.

We had a great first day at the Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo hosted by Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and Central Virginia Community College. This is an event for 7th and 8th graders in the Lynchburg area to provide hands-on activities for students and raise awareness of the extraordinary career pathways in our region. We teamed with several other companies to teach students about manufacturing which even included making their very own toolboxes!

Today we enjoyed hosting Liberty University students from Dr. Schwerha’s Industrial & Systems Engineering class. It was a great opportunity to give the students real-world exposure of how the processes and flow of a manufacturing facility are implemented!
