A new lane. Same mission.
Over the past two years, I have been expanding my work within the tourism industry in ways that extend far beyond the tours, destinations, and experiences many have come to know me for.
While many know me as the Founder of Traveling With Ja', Co-Owner of Cultured Ghana, a travel professional, tour operator, and curator of culturally immersive experiences, I have also been serving in a growing capacity as a Global Tourism Strategist.
This role was not something I set out to become. It evolved naturally through years of working alongside tourism boards, local communities, guides, destination partners, hospitality professionals, transportation providers, cultural practitioners, and entrepreneurs across multiple countries.
I am incredibly grateful to the partners, vendors, and organizations that trusted my expertise, welcomed my perspective, and implemented strategies designed to strengthen their operations, enhance visitor experiences, increase community engagement, and improve the overall sustainability of their tourism offerings.
Many people see tourism as simply booking a trip and arriving at a destination. The reality is that tourism is a complex ecosystem that impacts economies, livelihoods, cultural preservation, infrastructure, education, entrepreneurship, and community development.
As a Global Tourism Strategist, my work extends far beyond travel.
I help identify opportunities that improve visitor experiences while ensuring local communities benefit from tourism growth. I assist with strengthening tourism products, developing culturally immersive experiences, fostering international partnerships, evaluating operational systems, enhancing community engagement, supporting destination development, and creating strategies that help tourism flow more effectively for everyone involved.
The work often happens behind the scenes.
It is found in the conversations that connect people across borders. It is found in the partnerships that create economic opportunities for local businesses. It is found in the cultural experiences that preserve traditions while creating meaningful connections between visitors and host communities. It is found in the systems, logistics, planning, training, and relationship-building that make tourism sustainable and impactful long after travelers return home.
Tourism has the power to create transformation, foster understanding, generate economic opportunity, and build bridges between people who may otherwise never cross paths.
As I continue this journey, I remain committed to helping destinations, communities, tourism professionals, and travelers create experiences that are authentic, meaningful, sustainable, and beneficial for all stakeholders involved.
I look forward to continuing this work, strengthening global partnerships, supporting the advancement of tourism worldwide, and contributing to an industry that has given me the opportunity to impact lives across borders.
