All Aboard! Port Everglades is hands down the easiest port to to travel to. Located a few short miles from the airport and all the local hotels, it took less than 15 minutes from hotel to the cruise terminal parking even wit moderate traffic. This is significantly better than the commute for both Miami and Port Canaveral where I usually sail from more often.

While I normally go with Balcony or Jr Suites on Royal ships, the upgrade price was right on this sailing so I opted to go for a One Bed Room Grand Suite. The room comes equipped whith a full bar, plenty of storage closets, a spacious living room area, extra large bathroom with full tub, an extended double balcony ans a curtain to close off the bedroom kiving area. This room is an amazing option for guests who simply want some extra space or parents with families who want a more private sleeping area without taking on the expenses of a second room. This room type also offers an option for suite with a second bedroom.

One of my favorite benefits of suite class rooms is priority boarding. It literally took us ten minutes from the door through the check in process until we were on the ship which was pretty remarkable.

Reach out to me for nore details on the Liberty of the Seas!

It's my first ever "Bring Your Wife to Work Day" 😁.

Alex and I are repping WWTA for a special two night naming ceremony event aboard the all new Celebrity Xcel. We've only been on the ship 30 minutes and like all Celebrity Cruises, this ship screams luxury and class.

We're looking forward to seeing the ship, tasting some great cuisine, and touring all of the different staterooms the ship has to offer!

This past weekend, Alex and I had the opportunity to do a rare 4 night cruise on Royal Caribbean’s newest cruise ship; the Star of the Seas. This ship is the largest of the RC fleet (and also in the world). When visiting Perfect Day at Cococay, we docked next to the Grandeur of the Seas which is one of the smallest, older ships in their fleet.

One of the questions I receive on a daily basis is “are the newer ships worth the added cost?” I thought it would be fun to do a comrparion between the two for this post.

Admittedly, I’ve never had a cruise that I did not enjoy. Every trip its own adventure. I’m always grateful to explore different destinations and try new things.

While the larger ships carry significantly more guests, they also offer so much more in terms of gathering areas, dining options, entertainment, and activities as you will see on the fact sheet comparisons. I personally love new technology and enjoy modern decor so I prefer the newer ships. Other guests prefer smaller vessels for less crowds, better pricing, the ability to get to destinations that larger ships are unable to port, and for that classic cruise ship feel.

What is most important for you as a cruise guest is to have a Travel Agent who is experienced in the different options, and lines so we can pick the perfect ship that meets your specific needs.

When you are ready to plan your next cruise vacation; send me a message or email me at [email protected] so we can chat. My services are completely free and I’d love to help plan your next trip!

Our journey on the Mardi Gras has officially come to an end and the journey was filled with great memories.

Day 3- Grand Turk: This stop is always a favorite fo family. While this port has amazing beach, we always spend the day relaxing at the free Margaritaville Pool Complex. It’s always a good scene with great music and swimming.

Day 4- Amber Cove: we tried the brand new La Roma BBQ & Beach Break excursion. We took an hour long bus ride to the Marriott Ocean Club Resort in Costa Norte. This excursion is definitely for guests willing to pay a premium for a break from the cruise chaos. There were literally maybe 20 people at this destination and we held down an entire pool to ourselves. The downfall of this trip was the price only included lunch (no drinks) and the ride each way was an hour. It was a great day but I probably wouldn’t recommend this when considering the $149 per person price.

Day 5- Nassau: This was the highlightht of our trip as we spent the day at Sandals Royal Bahamian where we are getting married at in October. This resort is stunning and I’m so happy Alex let me select this property for our wedding without seeing it first but she was not disappointed.

Day 6- Day at Sea- We enjoyed the ship and did a restaurant crawl for lunch

Day 7- Celebration Key: Carnival did an amazing job on this new private port in the Bahamas. There was much to do here and I’ll dedicate a separate post just to this.

Day 2-Sea Day

It was a low key day on the ship. Most of our crew spent time at the pools, hitting trivia sessions, and hopping around different bars. I grew up watching Emeril on the food network so the highlight of the day was dinner when we went to Emeril’s Bistro for some New Orleans eats. BAM!!!

While this venue does have a small upcharge, the cost is between $3-$10 per plate and it is worth every penny. This was hands down some of the best Jambalaya and Gumbo I’ve ever had. Where else can you try 5 star, celebrity chef cuisine that cheap?

Pro Tip: Emeril’s also offers some amazing breakfast options. Get the breakfast po-boy and thank me later!

Day 1- Port Canaveral

The check in process to board the ship was an absolute breeze! From parking lot to getting on the ship, it maybe took us thirty minutes until we were onboard enjoying the welcome buffet in the Lido Marketplace.

One of the best amenities of the Carnical Excel Class ships is the wide variety of speciality dining venues. While some have an upcharge, a majority of them are included in your cruise fare.

Free Lunch Options:
Guy Fieri’s Burgers
Blue Iguana Tacos & Burrito
Shaq’s Big Chicken
Cucina Del Capitano (BYO Pasta Bar)
Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse BBQ
The Shawarma Stand
Chi-Bang (Mexican & Asian Fusion Bowls)
Street Eats Quick Bites (specialty fries and dumplings)
Marketplace Buffet

We had dinner at Chi-Bang where you first dinner is complimentary (only $8 per additional visit). This is one of my FAVORITE venues onboard. The loaded nachos, queso fundido, kung pao chicken, hakka noodles, and ranchero steak were all phenomenal. I’ll be back for round two later this week!

It’s no secret that travel agents are abundant. Most people do not realize the importance of selecting an agent who understands the products that they sell and has first hand experience with the destinations they promote. I invest a lot of time and money to build my knowledge so that I can share my experiences with my guests to better prepare them to not make rookie mistakes on their own trips.

My first mission for my official travel page is to provide a full review on Carnival Cruise Line. I’ve sailed with Carnival dozens of times in my life but dor anyone who follows social media; you probably know that the company has gotten a lot of bad press lately.

Today, I set sail on a 7 Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras with stops in Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Nassau, and their brand new Private Island; Celebration Key!🚢🏝️⛱️

Stay tuned for some fun content, honest reviews, and highlights from my trip!
