Good day yesterday with a nice beautiful brown trout-the high water from April and cold water temps have put some zip in the fish. Water’s in great shape, fish are happy, and feel bigger than they are when in the rod.

Interesting day on stream-water very stained, muddy on lower stretches. Hasn’t rained since Sunday. The black leech and St.John Worm duo did the trick with some chunky browns.

Great week in Southwest Wisconsin. Lots of healthy happy fish with a lot of muscle from the high water back in April. The weather’s perfect and water’s in good shape. Get out and enjoy it.
