I left General Motors in May 2023 to work on our family business of Life Insurance and Retirement Planning with my husband and to spend more time with my 3 babies. After my parents’ passing, my priorities changed – I realized the missed opportunities I had with them is not what I wanted for my kids; being present with them meant taking a step away from the career I loved at GM, and that was ok. Si
nce then, I often thought about what I would do if I could do it again. I wouldn’t change my time at Kettering University or my decisions at GM…but what else? If we’ve worked together, I feel confident you know this about me: organizing data is SO satisfying, teamwork makes the dreamwork, and hitting metrics is my jam! So, while I obtained my license to sell life insurance, it didn’t truly “call” me. Yes. Did I want to do it? Not really, it just didn’t suit me… After a lot of self-reflection, research into other industries, praying, and more praying about what I could do with my career, it finally came to me a few weeks ago! I spend a lot of time thinking/planning/manifesting our next vacation; after talking about favorite places to visit with family and friends, it hit me – I need to be a Travel Planner! I’m a proud owner of a Dreams Vacation franchise! And as of February 11, 2024, I’m now officially OPEN for business! **I’m even Disney certified!**
