The Lodge: Our Northern Knotty

Originally built in 1995, this A-frame lodge was once a rustic hunting and fishing cabin. This peaceful cabin sits amongst 5 acres of beautiful maple trees.

It lived many years as a seasonal property before evolving into what you see today. Once named The Dancing Maple, we purchased this property in 2024 with a goal of preserving the years of hard work it took to create this relaxing escape for guests. While it was a difficult decision, we ultimately decided to re-name the cabin as a testament to it’s new chapter with us. What drew us to this property

was the quaint Northern Michigan location and the knotty pine interior. There is something welcoming and relaxing about a peaceful, rustic-feeling retreat in the woods. This is how The Lodge: Our Northern Knotty was born.

Showcasing three of our most recent reviews. 💚 Summertime in Northern Michigan is a vibe! We are only 15 minutes from Torch Lake and 40 minutes from Traverse City. We have a few days left this summer, and also have quite a bit of color tour openings, too!

2024 was such a big year for us! We went out on a limb and purchased this adorable cabin. Our AirBnB journey began September 30th and since then we welcomed 20 guests! 🌟🙏🏻 We’ve learned so much along the way and are excited for what’s to come in 2025!
