A 3 Night Cruise...Yay or Nay?

Hey everyone, it's time for a special edition Travel Talk Thursday!

Someone recently asked me my opinion on three night cruises.
Three night cruises are great experiences in my opinion. You have the opportunity to experience a new cruise line or itenerary without a lengthy cruise in case the selected line doesn't match your typical vacation vibe. Sometimes, cruise lines sneak great deals for three night sailings. While three night/weekend cruises are accused of being party cruises, they are also perfect for a relaxing and quiet getaway to relax and recharge if you know where to look (that's where I come in!). We have experienced three different three night sailings over the years and have a couple lined up for the end of 2026.

I priced out cruises from the four major cruise lines for short cruises this December, all leaving 12/18 out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
All cruises are three days in length with the exception of the Norwegian Joy which is a four day cruise.

All cruises have stops in Nassau and each respective private island with the exception of Carnival that is only visiting it's private port Celebration Key on Grand Bahama Island.
The quoted rates for Royal Caribbean and Carnival are for two people in a cabin only. MSC and NCL both include beverage packages and wifi while NCL also provides specialty dining credits with their Free at Sea promotion.
